Privacy notice

This notice explains what Sclerite Home Audit processes, why it is needed, which providers support the service, and the controls available to each household.

Effective September 5, 2026

Data we process

  • ChatGPT sign-in identifier, name, and email used to create and protect your private household workspace.
  • Consent records, targeted audit answers, connected-institution and account metadata, balances, liabilities, and transaction history you authorize through Plaid.
  • Generated audit reports, ledger verification records, and limited Stripe billing identifiers such as customer, checkout, payment, and subscription IDs.
  • Technical request and security information needed to deliver and protect the service, plus aggregate Cloudflare Web Analytics. Sclerite does not receive your bank password or full payment-card number.

How we use it

  • Authenticate you and enforce household ownership.
  • Reconstruct and reconcile the household ledger, detect missing accounts, ask material gap questions, and produce budgets and a 90-day plan.
  • Complete purchases, manage optional monitoring, provide support, prevent abuse, and satisfy legal obligations.
  • Operate, secure, debug, and improve Sclerite Home Audit without using financial data for advertising.

Service providers

OpenAI supports sign-in and, when the verified explanation layer is enabled, processes bounded report findings without bank credentials or raw transaction descriptions. Plaid supplies authorized financial connectivity, Stripe supplies hosted checkout and billing, and Cloudflare supplies hosting, database infrastructure, security, and aggregate analytics. Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy obligations.

Product isolation and sharing

Sclerite Home Audit is a distinct Sclerite-family product. Its customer data, credentials, databases, and operational access are not shared with Sclerite Intelligence or another Sclerite product. Sclerite does not sell household data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Data is disclosed only to service providers, when a customer directs it, or when law requires it.

Retention

Connected financial records, answers, and reports are retained while the household uses the service or until the customer deletes them. Disconnecting an institution removes its imported financial records and revokes its Plaid connection. Billing, fraud-prevention, and tax records may be retained for up to seven years when legally or operationally required. A deletion receipt retains only a one-way owner hash, completion time, and count of disconnected institutions.

Your controls

  • Export a readable copy of your Home Audit data from the private workspace.
  • Disconnect an institution and remove its imported financial snapshots.
  • Delete the household profile, consent, answers, financial snapshots, and reports through an authenticated action.
  • Ask for access, correction, or privacy help through the dedicated privacy contact.

Security and children

Financial payloads and Plaid access tokens are encrypted before storage, and ownership is verified server-side. No method is perfectly secure. The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.

Privacy contact

Email privacy@scleritehomeaudit.com with privacy, access, or deletion questions. Do not email financial records, account credentials, payment information, or government identifiers.
